Team CardRunners member and instructor Eric Liu quickly became one of the most respected No-Limit Hold’em players around after turning a $200 deposit into an impressive $34,000 bankroll in just a few months.

Eric’s interest in poker developed after watching a poker tournament on TV and decided to try out his poker skills firsthand. He jumped up the ranks in a very short time playing in the biggest No-Limit Cash games online and more recently playing in live poker tournaments. His biggest win to date came in 2008 when he finished in-the-money at an EPT event in January of that year.

When not at the poker tables, Eric spends his time studying at Duke University, where he is finishing up his senior year. Additionally, Eric devotes a great deal of his time doing volunteer work, traveling and spending time with friends.

With over $200K in career tournament earnings, 4 WSOP cash finishes and a successful career in high-stakes ring games, Full Tilt Poker’s Team CardRunners member David “Raptor” Benefield is one of the most respected young poker players today.

Growing up in Fort Worth, Texas, Benefield was an avid baseball player from the age of six through his senior year in high school. It was during this time that Benefield discovered his love for the game of poker while playing no-limit Hold’em games with his friends. Benefield made it his personal mission to become the best and started building his bankroll playing in underground games around Dallas, Texas.

David first made the leap to live tournament games in 2007 at the WSOP No-Limit Hold’em event, where he cashed in big. Next year at the 2008 WSOP he was even more successful when he cashed in both the No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha events. Just a few days later, David walked away from the Main Event over $77K richer.

Besides his poker skills David is also a health and fitness fan, practicing yoga and Jiu Jitsu regularly. David is also a success in the world of real estate investing, when he is not studying the game of poker and improving his bankroll management skills.

Known for his role as host and poker commentator at the Celebrity Poker Showdown and the World Series of Poker, Phil Gordon is an accomplished poker player, adventure traveler, sports fan, and successful businessman.

After graduating from Georgia Tech in 1991 and working as computer engineer for a few years, Gordon decided to  retire from the high-tech industry in 1997 to travel the world and to play poker. Since then, he has won one World Poker Tour (WPT) title and has played  five WSOP final tables, banking more than $2.1 million in career tournament earnings.

Phil made his debut on the WSOP in 2001, finishing in 4th place and cashing over $400.0000. In 2002 he made the final table in both the $2K Pot Limit Hold ´em and the $2.5K Omaha Hi/Lo Split events, winning more than $47.0000. In 2005, Phil finished 8th in the World Series of Poker $1K No-Limit Hold ‘em event, for over $66.000 in winnings. He also finished 3rd in the WSOP $1.5K No-Limit Hold ‘em event, adding more than $75.000 to his tournament winnings.

Gordon also tried his luck at the World Poker Tour, winning the first ever Pro Division of the World Poker Tour in Aruba for $250K, and setting a new record at the 2004 World Poker Tour Bay 101 “Shooting Stars” after knocking out two players simultaneously, taking $360.000 in prize money.

Phil has also taken part in several televised events, winning the Full Tilt Poker Championship in Las Vegas in 2006, and finishing in the final 16 in the 2007 NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship tournament. More recently, he won the Week 2 airing of the 2009 Poker After Dark televised series.
Phil has also played an active role in poker broadcasting, co-hosting “Celebrity poker showdown” and “Pro-AM Poker Equalizer”. In 2003, he analyzed the WSOP Main Event and provided updates for a national radio station. He also worked as main broadcaster for the live pay-per-view airing of the 2006 WSOP.

Phil is an accomplished poker writer. His collaborations include several pieces for Full Tilt, and FT’s “Tiltboys”, as well as ESPN’s “ Poker Edge” column. Gordon has also authored several poker books, including Poker: The Real Deal, Phil Gordon’s Little Green Book: Lessons and Teachings in No Limit Hold ‘em, and Phil Gordon’s Little Blue Book: More Lessons and Hand Analysis in No Limit Hold ‘em” and  released an award winning instructional DVD, Expert Insight: Final Table Poker.

Known for his fierce style and for playing massive pots at Full Tilt’s High Stake tables, Phil Ivey is considered by many fellow pros and poker experts as one of the most consistent and probably the best all-around poker poker player of his generation.

Born in Riverside, California in 1976, Ivey began his poker career in Atlantic City, where he made his name as a high-stakes player before entering the professional tournament circuit at the age of 23. With only a few months playing professionally, Ivey won his first World Series of Poker Bracelet in 2000, beating more experienced players and defeating Phil Hellmuth and Amarillo Slim in the $2,500 Pot-Limit Omaha event.

Only two years later, Ivey added three more WSOP bracelets to his resume, winning the $1,500 Seven-Card Stud, $2,500 Seven-Card Stud Hi/Lo and $2,000 SHOE events, and taking the World Poker Open event, two Bellagio and two Commerce events and playing several World Poker Tour final tables.

Ivey’s incredible run continued in 2005 and 2006, winning his 5th Gold bracelet in the 2005 WSOP $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event, and making two WPT final tables before wining the Monte Carlo Millions tournament and Full Tilt Poker Invitational Live from Monte Carlo in a 24 hours span. Due his amazing record of achievements and final table appearances, Ivey was named Player of the Year in 2006 by the UK Gaming awards, “Bluff Magazine” and “All In Magazine”.

In the following years, Phil won an episode of “Poker After Dark” for $120K and made the final table in the 2007 WSOP $5K HORSE event. In 2008, Phil made his 8th appearance at the WPT Championships, where he won his first WPT title. Most recently, Phil won a spot among the the greatest players of all time by taking two WSOP bracelets in the $2.5K No-Limit Deuce-to-Seven Lowball and $2.5K Omaha/Seven-Card Stud Hi/Lo events and by making it to the final table of the Main Event, where he finished in 7th place.

Currently, Ivey is tied in fourth place with Billy Baxter for All-Time Bracelet wins. To date, he has cashed in 36 WSOP events and is second in the world among all-time money winners in tournament poker after Daniel Negreanu with over $12.2 million in career tournament earnings. Born as Johnson Juanda in Medan, Indonesia, John Juanda is one of the most successful members of Team Full Tilt and is probably one of the most profitable and respected players in the world.

Juanda moved to the United States in 1990 to enroll the Oklahoma State University and began playing poker occasionally in 1996. His first big poker win came in 1998 when he took down the 1998 Los Angeles Poker Classic limit Hold’em event for $31.8K, however, his poker career took a jump in 2001 when won the World Poker Open Champion, winning over $280.000. Juanda’s career and reputation continued on the grow, winning his first WSOP bracelet in the 2002 Ace to Five Triple Draw Lowball event, and getting named as runner-up for the Card Player “Player of the Year” awards in 2001 and 2002, and Tournament Champion of the Year in 2002.

In 2003, John added two more WSOP bracelets to his resume after taking the $2.5K Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo Split event and the $2.5K Pot-Limit Omaha, cashing over $320.000. In 2004 he cashed in six WSOP events, including a 2nd place finish in the $1K No-Limit Hold ‘em event.

The following year, John made 15 final tables, finishing in 5th place in the Five-Star World Poker Classic and the National Heads-Up Poker Championship. The same year, Juanda also won the Monte Carlo Millions Consolation tournament, finished 6th in the Monte Carlo Millions Main Event, and placed 2nd in the “The FullTiltPoker Invitational Live from Monte Carlo”.

In 2006, John beat several top poker players to win the Aussie Millions Speed Poker Million Dollar Challenge, winning AUD 1 million. He added a further six WSOP cashes in 2007, and in the televised Poker After Dark Series he won the week 9 tournament and placed 2nd in week 17.
John’s winning streak continued in 2008 with two World Series of Poker final table appearances, alongside the title of WSOPE Main Event Champion, walking away with his 4th bracelet and over $1.5 million in prize money. John finished the year with a 2nd place finish in the EPT London £1 Million Showdown, for $570K.
