WDIAV is glad to announce the winner of our first $1500 freeroll of the year held on January1st and hosted by Full Tilt Poker. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino opened its new HRH Tower this morning and welcomed the first guests traveling to Las Vegas to celebrate the New Year in a sophisticated rock ‘n’ roll experience with extra privacy and a more refined atmosphere.

The all-suite tower located at the south end of the property, offers guests separate entrance and guest check-in area, 359 “standard” suites, seven penthouses with panoramic views of the Las Vegas strip, eight luxurious spa villas, as well as new amenities, including a nightclub set to open on New Years and  more than 30,000 square feet of new casino space. The area includes a slot bar, blackjack tables, High Limit Lounge, as well as the Lux Bar.

Guests at the new HRH Tower will enjoy a sophisticated and more refined atmosphere. Each of the regular 359 suites come with cast iron bathtubs, wet bar and separate living and bed areas, as well as Sound Matters Sound Bar with touch-panel music system and IPod dock, and two Sony LCD TVs and DVD players.

Also opening this week at the HRH is the 25,000-square-foot Reliquary Spa, which offers 21 private rooms, Roman Bath, fitness center and a private studio for stripper pole dancing lessons. Hard Rock Las Vegas will also celebrate the grand opening of its new Vanity Nightclub, located on the 2nd Floor of the HRH Tower, with a Grand Opening Party set on New Years Eve and hosted by Hip Hop Mogul P. Diddy. In addition, three new restaurants, new pools and the Skybar will open to the public in the first half of 2010.

“It’s for the higher-end customer that we would assume is looking for a boutique experience. It has all the amenities necessary. It is a bit of a different design for that customer.” said Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel President and Chief Operating Officer Randy Kwasniewski.

For the first time since its creation in 2004, the PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) will make a stop in Berlin to play the biggest professional poker tournament ever held in Germany. The event is scheduled to take place from March 2 to March 7, 2010, at the Marlene-Dietrich-Platz at Potsdamer Platz, in where a two story glass palace will be built especially to hold the EPT Berlin Main Event as well as a variety of side events.

According to EPT representatives, up to 1,000 players are expected to play in the Main Event, including numerous international and national top players. Among the players confirmed for this event are tennis legend and Team PokerStars SportStar Boris Becker, all of Team PokerStars Germany - including the Season 5 Germany winner Sandra Naujoks, Boris Becker’s poker coach, Jan Heitmann from Munich who is, as well as all the guests from “TV Total PokerStars.de Nacht”.
