311 Day moves to Mandalay Bay

Multiplatinum selling American rock band “311” has informed that its annual “311 Day” event will move from New Orleans to Las Vegas. Every March 11th, “311” celebrates a very special concert event that attracts thousands of fans from around the world. Since its creation in 2000, the event dubbed as “311 Day”, has been held in New Orleans, however, the band has announced that its 2010 event will be held at Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, NV.
The concert is expected to bring thousands of 311 fans to Sin City to celebrate and enjoy an extraordinary 311 show. The band will play an extended setlist (5 hours) of hits, rarities, covers and classics; backed by a state of the art light and special effects show. Past shows have also included appearances by circus performers, aerial acrobats, fire twirlers, stilt walkers, drumlines, and marching bands.
311’s last album “Uplifter” was released June, 2nd 2009, mde its debut at #3 on the Billboard Top 200; the band’s highest chart position to date. The Omaha-bred, Los Angeles-based 311 have released 10 albums and three DVD’s and have sold over 8.5 million units in the US. Uplifter is the band’s 6th Top 10 album. The band has had 8 singles reach the Top 10 on Billboard’s Modern Rock Chart including the #1 hits “Down,” “Love Song” and “Don’t Tread On Me.”
The general on-sale for the 311 Day concert at Mandalay Bay Events Center (March 11th, 2010) will go on sale Saturday, October 31st at 10:00AM PDT via Mandalay Bay Events. For more info, call 877-632-7400.
